Saturday, November 13th is World Kindness Day. World Kindness Day was designed as a day for people to go out of their way to be kind to others. It's a day to celebrate and pledge to do at least one intentional act of kindness towards others. We've included just a few ways to be to kind to another on this day:
- Send a motivating text or message to your friends or family members
- Go out of your way to make someone smile
- Talk to a friend or family member that you haven't talked to in awhile
- Give someone a genuine compliment
- Surprise your neighbor with some freshly baked cooked snacks or meal
- Write a recommendation for a friend
- Treat your furry friends in an animal shelter
- Be a good listener
- Be kind to YOURSELF also
- Share World Kindness motivation with your own friends and family
- Pay it forward
The key to World Kindness Day is to be truly intentional in treating others with kindness. Take a moment out of your day to encourage people to be kind. Take a moment from your busy life to be kind to yourself and allow yourself an extra treat, an extra long shower, a few intentional quiet moments.
